The Keri Stand-Alone Single Door Controller/Reader Kit (AC-SD-CTRL) is a groundbreaking new and economical single door proximity reader-based access control system for up to 500 users. The AC-SD-CTRL simply allows defined card holders to enter a door without any other more sophisticated conditions. It is a simple and cost-effective solution for basic Access Control of a single door that does not require the use of a computer.

The AC-SD-CTRL is supplied with free Software for use with Windows™. The software provides management and back up of the controller’s cardholder database. Programming is accomplished via the Keri HPP-22 Hand Held Programmer (RF remote). Cards can be added to or deleted from the access privilege database, the door can be unlocked as would normally be done during business hours and the operator's security PIN (personal identification number) can be changed, all by simply pointing the programmer at the reader and issuing a simple command.

The AC-SD-CTRL has a 26 bit Wiegand™ output and can be used in place of a traditional proximity reader with any Wiegand compatible access control system to provide user backup should the primary access control system become non-functional for those users with 24 hour access privileges. In the case of expansion beyond a single door to a larger access control system, it can be used as a proximity reader to the larger system. The relay output can also be used to trigger any other type of device based on a successful card event. Product features are as follows.

Advantage of using the Free Keri Software with a Keri Single Door Kit:

• The sortable electronic cardholder database (similar to spreadsheet software) removes the requirement to keep a separate manual card holder list.
• A backup utility is provided that creates a file which can easily restore the cardholder database in the controller.
• IR remote control is not required; all programming can be done through the software (and Vice Versa).
• Multiple Keri AC-SD-CTRL databases can be managed from one PC with the same software although the controllers are not networked together.
